Bishop T. Lane Grant, II

Bishop T. Lane Grant, II, was born on May 11, 1964 in New Mexico.  From his early years in high school, he walked with Godly authority and favor.  Growing up in Chicago, Bishop Grant became well learned in many areas including: the ministry; the community; the political and business sectors; the music and arts industry, and the list is continous.

 

Bishop Grant has served under his spiritual father Bishop Larry D. Trotter, at the Sweet Holy Spirit Church.  He also was the executive administrator at Operation Push having worked extensively with Rev. Jesse Jackson.  He ministers as a highly anointed preacher and apostle.  He is blessed by God and is not recognized and respected by people both nationally and internationally.  Bishop Grant is a Spirit-filled man of God with a vision.

 

Bishop Grant began pastoring at The Greater First Church in 1994.  As pastor, his accomplishments are quite numerous, within two years of his leadership, the Lord blessed the Greater First Church to become on church in two locations.  He established another worship service on Sunday morning, beginning at 8:30am.  There are many more accomplishments but to numerous to mention.  Above all he has won more than fifteen hundred souls for the building up of God's kingdom, this is his greatest testimony.

 

Bishop Grant is an international disciple for God.  He has traveled extensively on the continent of Africa.  He has also traveled to the Caribbean, Europe, specifically Rome, Italy, Germany, and South America in Brazil.  These journeys have allowed him to lecture, preach, and evangelize the breath and width of this world at many conferences, workshops, and seminars.

 

Bishop Grant is married to Messenger Robin Grant,

              

and they are the parents of two sons, Tavis, III and Tavel.

 

Bishop Grant's personal mission statement is deeply rooted within the context of Luke 4:18-19 which states, "The spirit of the lord is upon me, because He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach
